Quince Blossom Kitchen at Dayaalu!
Quince Blossom Kitchen was born from a desire to provide food that is simultaneously wholesome and delicious, sustainable and exciting, nourishing and beautiful. We believe that food is at its best when it is prepared with respect for the earth, the people who grow it, and the dynamic sensory experience of eating.
At Quince Blossom Kitchen, you'll find carefully sourced, lovingly prepared food that is as flavorful as it is healthy, bursting with bright colors and bold flavors. We serve exclusively vegetarian food with plenty of gluten-free and vegan options. We use organic produce (sourced from local farms whenever possible), certified humane eggs and dairy, and fair-trade chocolate and sugar. Menu items include: grain and legume salads, raw, roasted, sautéed, and braised vegetables, crunchy wraps, tangy sauces, comforting soups, and the occasional sweet treat! Payments are accepted using the honor system (please place cash or a check made out to Emily Klein in the box) and food is available for purchase whenever Dayaalu Center is open! About the ChefEmily is a long-time Bainbridge resident and an alumnus of many fine area restaurants, including Vios Cafe and the Four Swallows. Her culinary sensibility has been informed by her extensive travels; she finds particular resonance with the Mediterranean tradition of leisurely meals, reverence for ingredients, and food as a celebrated aspect of culture and a central feature of community.
After many years in the restaurant industry, she started Quince Blossom Kitchen as a way to connect with her community by sharing her love for simple, delicious plant-based food. Emily is grateful to be a part of the vibrant Dayaalu community and excited to serve you! She is always happy to take suggestions, receive feedback, or answer questions, and can be reached at quinceblossomkitchen at gmail.com. |
